royal york pasta recreation

HAHAHAHAHAAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAA. it tasted great, really! i need to buy a new camera. anyway, i swear i carmelized onions and mushrooms, sauteed cherry tomatoes, garlic with a ton of fresh oregano and parsley, dried basil, a bit of tarragon....a bit of chicken stock...added fresh fettuccine to the pan, tossed it around, added more grapeseed oil...finished with some grated parmesan on top. (oh that picture is from the second day when i decided to bake it with a pound of mozzarella on top).

i walked outside the other day to find a couple girls taking my picture. i soon realized they were actually interested in these trees and not me. sitting out here now, a few others have stopped. it's awkward. they smell amazing though and i love them. (not the ppl. never ppl. jk).

black leo got a bath and was super impressed. psych.

ps ask me anything!

blogging is hard

i've pretty much only been making salads and eating things other ppl have made.

(blurry salads!! it really is a deterrent/fantastic excuse to slack off on blogging...the shit camera, i mean).

my mom and i stayed at the royal york this past weekend and they made me......poutine. yes.

rabbit, mushroom and cheese curd poutine.

they also made me an amazing mushroom soup with...wheatberries...i decided. i've never had a wheatberry...is that a thing? a wheatberry? research time! welcome to nerd hour on one thing i made today!!

my mom had some kinda veggie pasta which i promptly copied the next night...and have yet to upload the blurry photos of...so we'll save that for next (year) time.

welcome to the 1920s.

ohhhhhhh look it's mama at hosu! they also fed us. they are good at making things. things were consumed too quickly to photograph. or maybe my mom did. and is still trying to figure out how to get the pictures out of the camera. jk!

who's a bigger loser? i dunno.

peace out!

hmmm the last while!

tonight: 'chicken lametown 1970s casserole' with cremini mushrooms, onions, peas, mashed potato/turnip/apple THING with grated parmesan CRUST.

BLURRY BUTTER CHICKEN:

i forgot how much i love indian food. mainly the 'eating it' part because it takes so fucking long to make. marinate this in this sauce for 17 hours and then cook it in this sauce for 5 more days FUCK.

inspired by jenna fischer narrating grilled cheese sandwiches i made a grilled cheese. i combined cream cheese, old white cheddar, smoked cheddar and a bit of grated parmesan with fresh thyme. sauteed onion, mushrooms, homemade (dad-made) kielbasa and asparagus.

this weekend was pretty and warm and nice and fun and drunk and smokey. no pictures of the latter, thank god. finally saw cailin.

i promise to pay more attention to you, blog.
